Kate hamill’s ‘EMMA’ @ Guthrie Theater

After the long COVID postponement, Christine returned to the Guthrie in the summer of 2022 to play Jane Fairfax in Kate Hamill’s new adaptation of Jane Austen’s EMMA, under the direction of Meredith McDonough.

BREAKDOWNS (SEries)

A mockumentary-style series about a Minneapolis-based casting office, written and directed by L.J. Johnson.

SOLD OUT (feature film)

A feature-length film written by Susan Brightbill, and directed by Tim Dahlseid, which filmed in Minneapolis. Christine plays Lauren, the estranged wife of John (Sam Bardwell). It is currently available to stream on Amazon.

love’s labor’s lost @ american players theatre (cancelled - COVID 19)

Christine is thrilled to join the cast of LOVE’S LABOR’S LOST at American Players Theatre in their 2020 season, playing Princess of France under the direction of Artistic Director Brenda DeVita.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL @ GUthrie theater 2019

After originating the role in 2010, Christine returned to the Guthrie to play Kitty (Fred’s Wife) in Crispin Whittell’s adaptation of Charles Dickens’ A CHRISTMAS CAROL at the Guthrie Theater. The production was directed by Lauren Keating.

BOSTON MARRIAGE @ MAISON BODEGA

Christine played Claire in David Mamet’s BOSTON MARRIAGE, directed by Grant Sorenson, at Maison Bodega in Minneapolis. Performances ran May 31-June 10, 2019.

CYRANO de bergerac @ Guthrie Theater

Christine returned to the Guthrie Theater, playing Buffet Girl and Sister Martha for their production of CYRANO DE BERGERAC, adapted and directed by Artistic Director Joe Haj. She also understudied the role of Roxane. Performances ran March 16-May 5, 2019.

LITTLE WOMEN @ The Jungle theater

In September-October 2018, Christine played Meg March in Kate Hamill's new adaptation of the Alcott classic. Jungle's Artistic Director Sarah Rasmussen directed the theater's first commission.

HAND TO GOD @ THE JUNGLE THEATER

Christine served as Assistant Director to Christina Baldwin on the Jungle Theater's critically acclaimed production of Robert Askins' HAND TO GOD. Performances ran July 21-August 25, 2018.

In March 2018, Christine directed her first collaborative piece with the outstanding James Barnett for his company LOFTrecital. Combining the poetry of Anna Akhmatova and classical pieces by Prokofiev and more, this limited engagement explored the voice of one of the world's most incredible poets as she grappled with love, sex, power, and the importance of unwavering artistic courage in a tumultuous political climate.

PLAYLABS 2017 @ PWC

In October, Christine took part in the development and public readings of Alice Tuan's play A HUMBLING IN ST. PAUL. Directed by Laurie Woolery, this new work was workshopped as part of the annual PlayLabs festival at the Playwrights' Center in Minneapolis.

Christine took part in developing Kate Hamill's newest adaptation: LITTLE WOMEN, playing the role of Meg March. This piece is being developed in partnership with the Jungle Theatre, and was directed by Sarah Rasmussen at the Playwright's Center in Minneapolis in September 2017.

AMERICAN PLAYERS THEATRE

Christine worked on the artistic team of A FLEA IN HER EAR at American Players Theatre, serving as Assistant Director to David Frank. The production runs June 24-October 7, 2017, in the Hill Theatre.

She also served as Assistant Director to Tim Ocel in the Touchstone Theatre for his acclaimed production of Arthur Miller's A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE, running August 19-October 22, 2017.

WINTER WORDS at american players theatre

On February 27, Christine took part in APT's Winter Words reading series for a workshop of  THE ROVER. She  played Helena in a new adaptation by Jim DeVita.

GREAT LAKES THEATER

Christine performed with Great Lakes Theater in the fall of 2016. During the continuation of this rep, she played Olivia in Drew Barr's production of TWELFTH NIGHT, as well Ensemble in Victoria Bussert's production of MY FAIR LADY.

IDAHO SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL

Christine transferred LOVE'S LABOR'S LOST from Great Lakes Theater to the Idaho Shakespeare Festival, where she continued her role as Maria in LLL, as well as playing Olivia in TWELFTH NIGHT (directed by Drew Barr) and Ensemble in MY FAIR LADY (directed by Victoria Bussert). 

Performances ran June 3-August 28. 

LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST

 Christine played Maria in Tyne Rafaeli's production of LOVE'S LABOR'S LOST for Great Lakes Theater, playing at the Hanna Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio from April 8-24.

Christine was honored to be a member of the 2016-2017 class of the SDCF's Observership class!

OPHELIA REDUX

In February Christine played The Girl in Tory Stewart's new play OPHELIA REDUX at Skylight Theatre Company in Los Angeles. Directed by Lindsay Allsbaugh, the piece pulls back the curtain on Hamlet and reveals what really happened in the rotten state of Denmark, from Ophelia's point of view.

TIGERS BE STILL

Christine directed and co-produced TIGERS BE STILL by Kim Rosenstock. This production marked the first for her new theater company, Laughing Wild Productions. Performances ran January 15-31, 2016, at The Lounge Theatre in Hollywood.

Christine played Hero in The Backroom Shakespeare Project's MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING at Bar Lubitsch on January 10, 2016.

WIND

Performing as part of a series dedicated to the work of Stephen Belber, Christine played The Woman in WIND at the Aquila Morong Studio in Hollywood, in the fall of 2015.

In February 2015, Christine worked with the absolutely fantastic Sonny Valicenti on his brand new short film, The Final Scene
